How Does Counselling Help?
Counselling provides a time and space to explore your situation with another. The space to express yourself can itself be beneficial. It can also facilitate a fuller and deeper understanding of and improved relationship with yourself, your experiences and others and so can support you in working through difficulties and become freer to move on.
Where Do I Start?
Starting with counselling may seem daunting and you might not be sure yet whether it’s right for you. Counselling is a collaborative process so, following your contact by E-mail, we would have a brief introductory phone or Zoom call, before the first session which would be an opportunity for both of us to decide whether counselling with me is appropriate for you at this time, and also if we would like to work together. In this session, you will form an idea of the way that I work and see if that would suit you.
If you are happy to go ahead with ongoing counselling, we can then plan future sessions. These would be weekly on the same day and at the same time for 50 minutes and open-ended. We would work together at your pace and build in regular reviews to ensure that counselling is meeting your needs.
The initial introductory call is free
The first stand alone session costs £50 and takes about an hour.
Ongoing weekly sessions each cost £50 and are each 50 minutes long.
