Why Counselling?

There are many reasons that people seek out counselling.

At different times and seasons, difficulties relating to recent experiences and or stemming from past experiences such as upheavals in childhood, including living in different cultures and studying at boarding school, can impact our lives.  In these times we may struggle with emotions, thoughts, memories, behaviours, changes, identity, work, situations or people. These struggles may give rise to a sense of being stuck, withdrawn, low, anxious or overwhelmed. Counselling aims to support understanding, and to facilitate finding a way through these difficulties to be able to move on.
